Eyes of love is a bit different in its approach to the creative process. In this cd I decided to write the music first and the lyrics second. I have always done my creating the other way around having to have to make the music fit the lyrics. This time I decided to do the opposite and make the lyrics fit the music that was already written. The result was a whole different feel to the music and context of the songs. There was freedom for the music to not fill a mood that was predetermined by the text of the lyrics. I could start with a happy or sad set of chords, arrange them however I pleased and then simply layer whatever words came to mind that seem to fit with the words.
There was also a desire to redo "Eyes of Love" and "Answerman" just for the sake of reaching and doing things over in another way in this Studio. "Eyes of Love was done with us as a five piece band in a very well appointed studio. I thought I would try it over in a small home studio with just myself and George as musicians to capture what we did as a band. I liked what we did. In the intro to the song George created several choices. Some were so close with minor variations I decided to piggyback them putting one track on the left and one to the right. Answerman was changed from a folk type style to a more smooth jazz type arrangement.

Pied Piper of Broken Hearts - A song about a man trying to convince a woman that he will not break her heart if she will trust him and give her love to him. She must decide whether his love is true or not.
I'm Just - A song about just enjoying the day.
I'm Dreaming again - A song about a man going back in time to when he had true love.
What's the Deal I'm Making Here? - A man is trying to figure out if he's being played or not by a new love interest.
Dance of Love - A song about two people meeting for the first time, both hungry for a relationship but afraid of getting hurt.
Just Another Day - A song about a man who is recovering from a bad love affair.
Flying too Close to the Sun Again - A song about a man that continues to fall in love in spite of past broken hearts.
A Little Bit of Jesus - A Song about extremes and opposites. You always have good and bad you just have to learn how to focus on the positive. There is also some information about my philosophy about life and our purpose for being here.
Too Much Blues for Just One Man - A song about a man trying to convince himself that his failed love was for the best,
The Whistle Song - This Song started out as a melody in my head that simply popped in one day. I figured out chords that would work and wrote out the lyrics. It is a song that Explains how far love can go. You decide if it's a healthy relationship or not.
